Bought this black velvet dress for my daughter to wear to a formal family event and she looked lovely in it. The velvet is rich in person, not cheap-looking at all, and the puff sleeves are cute without being over the top. The layered skirt gives it a nice shape. One small thing: it arrived a bit wrinkled from shipping, so I had to steam it before the event — easy fix, but worth knowing. Otherwise very happy.
