How to Measure

Follow these steps to get accurate measurements:

  • 1. Bust: Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of the chest/bust, keeping the tape horizontal and comfortably loose
  • 2. Waist : Measure around the natural waistline (usually the narrowest part of the torso, about an inch above the belly button)
  • 3. Hips : Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of the hips
  • 4. Hollow to Floor : Measure from the center of the collarbone (hollow) straight down to the floor without shoes on
  • 5. Height : Measure barefoot from the top of the head straight down to the floor while standing upright against a wall
💡 Pro Tips for a Perfect Fit:
  • Use a flexible soft measuring tape (cloth or plastic) rather than a metal ruler.
  • Measure with light undergarments or fitting clothes on for the most accurate results.
  • If you are ordering a custom size or between sizes, we recommend sizing up or contacting our support team via Live Chat or at support@dideyttawl.com for sizing advice.

Pearl details sold me

We actually weren't sure about the black one until it arrived — the pearl details are what finally sold me. They're small, but once you see them up close they catch the light so nicely, they don't look cheap at all. We went with black for an evening wedding and it read really elegant, not heavy. I kept her accessories pretty minimal so the pearls and the tulle would do the talking. For sizing, my daughter is 6 and about 45 inches tall, and the size 6 fit her well with a tiny bit of room to grow — so we didn't have to do any last-minute hemming. She twirled around the whole afternoon and never once complained. Overall really happy with it, would order again in a second color for another event.

The puff sleeves are a dream

The sheer puff sleeves are my favorite detail — they give it that sweet, storybook look without being over the top. I did worry they might feel tight or ride up, so I had her lift her arms, bend her elbows, even reach for things on a high shelf, and everything stayed comfortable. She had no trouble at all, which was a relief because she's not a sit-still kid. We got tons of compliments at the wedding. Sizing ran true to size, so we didn't have to size up or anything. If you're on the fence about the sleeves, don't worry — they're as comfortable as they are cute.

Don't skip the shoe try-on

The single best thing we did was try the dress on with her actual wedding shoes before the event. We checked the skirt length and how much clearance she had for walking, and it was just right — she could walk the aisle without tripping. I'd really urge people not to pick a size based on age alone; my daughter's measurements were what mattered, and that saved us from a last-minute swap. The dress itself is gorgeous and the fabric is nice quality, but the fit is where it all comes together. Take the extra ten minutes to check shoes, walking, and sitting. It's worth it.

Save a photo of the back

We chose White, and the flowers on the bodice were lovely up close, but honestly the back lace and the big bow ended up being my favorite details. There's just something so pretty about the back of this dress. Her aunt took a picture of her walking away with the flower basket down the aisle, and that ended up being the one we framed — it's that beautiful. The dress is well-made, the satin is quality, and she was comfortable all day. If you're getting this for a wedding, make sure someone snaps a photo of the back. You'll want it.

The back is honestly the star

People always talk about the front of a dress, but honestly the back is the star on this one. The bow sits at the waist and the V-shaped back frames it so nicely. We put her hair in a low updo so you could actually see it, and it made such a difference in the photos. The satin quality surprised me too — it's substantial, not the flimsy kind you sometimes get at this price. It held its shape through the whole ceremony and reception. She looked like she stepped out of a catalog. Definitely have them do a quick updo before the big day; you'll want the back visible.

The champagne is not too yellow

I was honestly nervous about the Champagne color — I worried it might pull too yellow. But in this case it looked like a soft cream in natural daylight, with just a little more warmth inside the reception room, and it worked beautifully with the ivory flowers. It was exactly the soft, romantic shade we were hoping for. The dress itself is gorgeous, with the satin and tulle looking lovely in that color. She looked beautiful and the photos came out great. If you're considering the champagne but worried about the undertone, I'd say go for it — it's really pretty.

Made it through the whole reception

She wore this as a flower girl for about four hours, including dinner and a little dancing, and honestly it held up beautifully. No complaints about scratching or anything being uncomfortable, though she did want her regular clothes back by the end — but that's just being a kid. One thing I noticed is the color looked a touch warmer indoors than it did by the window, so keep that in mind if you're color-matching to a palette. Overall it was a great dress for a long event. She was comfortable, it photographed nicely, and we were really happy with it.

The pearls are the best part

The pearl details ended up being my absolute favorite part of this dress. You notice them so much more up close than in the photos — they catch the light and add this sweet, delicate sparkle. The tulle had enough volume on its own that we didn't even need to add a petticoat, which was nice. We kept her accessories really simple so the pearls would stand out, and it worked perfectly. She looked like a little princess. The quality is great for the price, and she was comfortable all day. If you love delicate details, this dress is a winner.

A little long on her, easy fix

My daughter is 7 and about 48 inches tall, and we tried the size 7. The waist fit really well, but the skirt did run a little long with her flats, so we had it hemmed just a touch before the wedding. It was a small, quick fix, and honestly I'm just glad we tried everything on ahead of time instead of assuming the size would be perfect. The dress itself is lovely — the satin and tulle are beautiful, and she looked adorable in it. If your daughter is on the shorter side for her size, just plan a tiny bit of hemming time. Worth it, she was so happy.

Two textures, one gorgeous dress

I love that the top is smooth satin while the skirt is this light, airy tulle — the contrast is what makes the dress interesting. In the photos you can really see the difference between the two fabrics, and in person it's even nicer. During the fitting I made her stand up and sit down a few times to make sure the waist seam didn't dig in or bunch up, and it sat perfectly both ways. No pulling, no riding up. It fit true to size for us, which was a relief. She said it felt comfortable, which honestly is half the battle with flower girl dresses. I'd recommend it, especially if your girl likes to spin — the skirt moves so beautifully.
